CPP #660 – The Modern Day Kingdom, With Trip Kimball
In this episode of the Church Planter Podcast, Peyton Jones talks with longtime friend, church planter, and author Trip Kimball about his book, The Heart and Soul of God’s Kingdom, and what it means to live as part of God’s kingdom today.
Peyton and Trip discuss why the kingdom of God isn’t just a future promise, but a present reality that should shape how we live, make disciples, and serve our communities. They explore the difference between building churches and advancing God’s kingdom, and why Christians sometimes allow denominational, cultural, and political differences to distract from their shared mission.
Trip also shares how the kingdom begins with personal transformation and extends outward through relationships, love, and practical obedience to Jesus. For church planters, this conversation is a reminder that lasting change starts with allowing Christ to reign in our own lives before seeking to transform the communities around us.
